US Wind understands that a successful project must not only result in the development of a new renewable energy source for the region but must also provide the basis for meaningful expansion of economic activity, especially in underserved communities, within Maryland. As such, we are committed to achieving substantial involvement of Maryland-based MBEs in all phases of our projects.

US Wind is committed to providing contracting opportunities to all businesses including local, minority, women, service-disabled, and veteran-owned businesses.  Minority and women-owned businesses must be certified with the Maryland Department of Transportation, Office of Minority Business Enterprise to be considered as having that designation. Once certified, businesses are connected to bid opportunities specifically designated as MBE and with other Prime/Tier 1 contractors.
