(September 26, 2023, Baltimore, Md.) — US Wind CEO Jeff Grybowski released the following statement today in regards to the passing of Tom Conway, international president of the United Steelworkers union representing 850,000 workers in North America.

“Everyone at US Wind is deeply saddened to learn of Tom Conway’s passing,” said Jeff Grybowski, US Wind CEO. “I’ve gotten to know Tom pretty well over the past few years as we worked together to establish an American offshore wind supply chain. Simply said, there was no better guy to have in your corner. His commitment to bringing steel manufacturing back to the former site of Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore was unparalleled. We will miss his partnership, his leadership, and his steadfast commitment to the American worker.”
