(“US Wind”) has formally presented to the Delaware Association of Coastal Towns (“ACT”) a package of community benefits for the good of Delaware’s coastal residents. The ACT communities of Henlopen Acres, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, and South Bethany have begun to evaluate the offer and will proceed with discussions through their respective public meeting processes.
U.S. Maritime Administration Awards $47 Million to Baltimore County and Sparrows Point Steel
(November 16, 2023, Baltimore, Md.) — Baltimore County, Maryland and Sparrows Point Steel, LLC (“Sparrows Point Steel”) won a major new federal grant of over $47 million to support plans to establish a major offshore wind logistics and manufacturing hub in Baltimore County. It is the fourth largest award given this year through the U.S. Maritime Administration’s competitive Port Infrastructure Development Program.
